Jacketed Vessel

Jacketed Vessel

Jacketed vessels and pressure vessels are versatile solutions tailored to meet the specific processing requirements of various operations. In essence, a standard jacketed vessel incorporates a secondary enclosure around a structural shell, creating a cavity utilized for effective heating and cooling management, typically through the circulation of a fluid. These systems excel in heat transfer, offering efficiency, precise control, and maintaining superior product quality. Moreover, by incorporating agitation within the jacketed vessels, it becomes possible to enhance the uniformity of fluid properties, ensuring consistent temperature or concentration levels.

Different styles of vessel jackets cater to diverse needs: Conventional vessel jackets provide comprehensive coverage over part or all of the vessel, making them ideal for high-pressure applications. They offer unique insulation benefits with inner and outer vessel walls, available in baffled and unbaffled styles. Agitating nozzles enhance turbulence and overall efficiency, especially in unbaffled configurations. Dimple vessel jackets feature a light-gauge metal jacket attached to the original vessel via spot or plug welds. This design offers strength and durability with minimal additional weight or cost, leveraging natural turbulence as media flows past the dimple points. Half-pipe coil vessel jackets are preferred for high-temperature industrial processing, offering excellent heat transfer and suitability for thermal fluid heating systems, particularly with liquid utility fluids. These jackets can be segmented into multi-pass zones for enhanced flexibility and performance.
